Drop Down Door Seal – 37dB

This high-performance seal is an effective barrier against, noise, light smoke and insects.

A drop down seal is activated once the door is closed. This means the door threshold remains clear without the need for a high fixed threshold.

It’s the ideal seal to meet document part E and part M of UK building regulations where disability, access and energy conservation is concerned.

It features a satin anodised aluminium finish with galvanised steel flat springs and reinforced actuators and is endurance-tested to 200,000 cycles with a 14mm maximum drop.

The seals are acoustically tested in accordance with BS EN ISO 140-3:1995 and achieved a rating of up to 37dB Rw, fire tested to BS476: Part 20/22: 1987 to 60 minutes and smoke tested to BS EN 1634-3:2004.

This easy-to-fit seal is a versatile solution that comes with pre-fitted screws for a quick and cost-effective installation and can be shortened or cut down if required by 150mm off its supplied size.

The ProSound Acoustic Vent system in white is a high performing acoustic background ventilator, providing up to 55dB reduction (Dn,e,w) and suitable for wall thicknesses of 140mm and above.

Acoustic Sealant: 900ml Tube

Please note these are 900ml tubes and need the larger 900ml applicator gun (NOT the standard 300ml guns)

We recommend 1 Tube for every 10m2 on average (however if your walls are very uneven or you have extra gaps to fill we would recommend some extra tubes)

Acoustic Sealant is a high strength, permanently flexible sealant and adhesive specifically formulated for sealing perimeters and gaps where sound may escape. Also used to dampen vibration around perimeters to reduce flanking vibration and filling and sealing any holes where services have been installed.

It is paintable once cured –

skinning time at 20C – 20mins – paintable 4 hours longer

This non-flammable sealant is water based, solvent free, is easy to use and clean up. It adheres well to just about all substrates used in the building and construction industry. It works equally well on acoustic insulation boards and can be successfully used on walls, ceiling and dry lining applications. Use it to fill large gaps in existing timber floorboards or spaces between floor decking before overlaying with acoustic materials.

It is particularly recommended for sealing the perimeters and edges of floating floors before applying additional soundproofing materials in order to further enhance acoustic performance
